It's actually Wells Fargo. You are all super paranoid about this kind of stuff. Recieved a call on Sunday the day they were closed, looked up the number and this website and a few others said it was a scam. So i called Wells Fargo, a know nothing employee told me its not their number, and that made me worried. Called today, on their real Fraud helpline number and the employee told me it's one of theres. Stop causing stress to others with your paranoia.
Thatguy replied 8/31/23, 8:13 PMI got called by that number today. They claimed to be from the Wells Fargo fraud department. They also attempted to scam me and get me to wire money to some random account saying that I had to do it to fix some wire fraud. They almost almost got me. IF WELLS FARGO EVER CALLS YOU HANG UP AND THEN CALL THE NUMBER THEY HAVE ON THE WEBSITE. -

This is a scam. They claimed my mother had suspicious activity on her account and then kept her on the phone for several hours trying to get details about her accounts. They managed to get enough information to do a Western Union wire for $500, which we luckily caught before it went out.

Please please do not give any information to anyone that calls from this number. I was almost scammed, but I just realized before I was completely screwed over. This could be a legit number or something, but scammers can and will spoof it. IF SOMEONE CALLS ON THIS NUMBER ASKING FOR ANY INFORMATION AT ALL DON'T GIVE IT NO MATTER HOW URGENT THEY MAKE IT SEEM! HANG UP AND CALL THE NUMBER ON THEIR WEBSITE!

Received a call after placing my first online money transfer through Wells Fargo to another Wells Fargo recipient. Our online accounts were frozen until I made the call to their spam center. A Spam caller could not have Frozen our online accounts. After my call they released the money for the wire transfer. After getting off the line I called Wells Fargo and verified the phone number as their fraud number. It's possible they're spoofing this number but my call to Wells Fargo was confirmed as Wells Fargo.

I made an online wire transfer through Wells Fargo and got a call from this number. They asked for sensitive information so I became suspicious. I looked at this website and was sure that it was fraud so I went to my bank branch. They confirmed that it was in fact Wells Fargo's Fraud department and were able to pull up notes regarding the call with me.

NOT WELLS FARGO - They called me, I didn't answer, looked them up in Google - even though the first results are for the Well Fargo fraud prevention website, that number is NOT on wellsfargo.com (Google says the results "may be related", whatever that means). I called them back, the line says "Welcome to Wells Fargo" but I smelled a rat and called the main Wells number (800-869-3557, you can see that on Google). WF rep said 877-499-6920 is NOT their number!

Today received a letter from the "PVSI Fraud and Claims Management" of "Wells Fargo", saying that my account has been locked due to suspicious activity, and asking me to call 1-877-499-6920. Since there are a lot of scams everywhere now, I googled this number and found it's just another scam, so be careful also to the letters you received!

Received a letter about fraudulent activity on an account I don't have. Tried to call and the rep, Doshinique, was unable to assist me but stated that should I take a vacation and go into one of their branches with my ID and social security card, they could help me there.

Sounds very official- same hold noise and intros as Wells. Even sent a verification code from Well's number

Pretending to be Wells Fargo Fraud department. Sent Email requesting a call to this number and also left a voicemail to return their call. Asked for private information. This is NOT a Wells Fargo number.
Joe replied 4/12/22, 4:37 PMI received a call from someone claiming to be from Wells Fargo fraud division after a large wire transfer of money and they asked for sensitive information. After I challenged them on the info and I would not give it to him, he said well you can give wells fargo a call and he then gave me this number to call 877 499 6920 to verify he was truely with Wells. It sounded real sketchy from the start. But how they new i made a transaction through Wells I have no idea. -
