Said I has filled out a ticket and my name was drawn to win a vacation package from Dream Resorts. Said I had two options. One, 3 days 2 nights w 2 airfare dream resorts, vegas, orlando, miami, San Diego, etc. Or two, family package 3 days 2 nights, park passes but no airfare.
I asked for his name and phone number where I could call to schedule and he started getting strange. Then he said he was going to pass my info to a local travel manager and asked if I was located in ____ city. I asked again for a phone number where I can call and schedule at my convenience and he hung up on me.

Thick Indian accent claimed I had filled out a form and won something (couldn't hear). I told him if I filled out a form my name must be on it, so I asked him what is my name? He pretended not to hear and ducked the question until I hung up on him.

I got the same call about winning a free trip he asked me several questions when he got to my employment i said I was "unemployed" and he said oh let me ask my supervisor and hung up aka its a scam- "I dont have a job" aka I can't pay for this "free" trip i won

My experience was also consistent with everyone else here. Thick accent saying I had filled out a contest form and had won a vacation. I said I hadn't, and he said maybe my partner had filled out the form. I asked him what my name was, and he said he didn't have it on file because they do not collect personal information. I told him it was a scam, and he started explaining that it wasn't. That's when I hung up.

An indian dude said I won a 2 nights, 3 days in a 5 stars hotel in either new york, las vegas, or LA. Then he asked me if I was married, said I had a girlfriend that doesn't live with me, but I have roommates. He then said this is only for couples, I said okay. He said he has to ask his manager to see if he can work something out. Hung up, never called again.

Some idiot that could barely speak English called me from this number informing me that I filled out an application or something I could barely understand. I asked him exactly when and where the hell I ever filled this out and he hung up. I knew he was running a scam within the 1st 5 seconds.

My experience with this number is consistent with all of the other commenters here. The caller ID indicated the source was from Texas. I was addressed by a man on the phone with a thick Indian accent, who told me that I had won a sweepstakes I never entered for a trip from a company I'd never heard of. When I denied it, he disregarded my comment and repeated the phrase in a robotic manner, exactly the same as the first time, as though he'd memorized it - I'm certain he did.

I received the unsolicited call from this 972-994-6834. The guy spoke with a heaving BUNNY-DUM-DUM (indian accent) that I won a trip. Immediately, I said my phone number is on the Do-not-call list and you are in violation of it. He hung up.
I filed a complain with the FCC https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx and I encourage everyone to do the same. -

Person called claiming to represent..at that point, I knew it was a telemarketer calling my cell phone number...hung up!! Twenty minutes later, my wife received a call from the same phone number ID'd in our iphones as being from Dallas, TX... Two points, why are we receiving unsolicited calls to our cell phones?? Both phones are also on the fedgov's Do Not Call registry and in violation of FCC/FTC regulations... Second, how did they get both my wife's and my cell phone numbers?...there's only a very few data bases that would have both phone numbers...doctor's office, etc
guest replied 8/27/14, 6:24 PMActually, there are several databases. For example if you are linked via social media in any way... bam they have both numbers. Many social media, tablet apps, phone apps, etc. sell you information regularly. In the fine print when you upload an app, you will se they have all sorts of permissions (i.e. camera, contact list, social media accounts, etc.). Just saying... they have access to as much info as they want to sell. -

Typical Phishing Scam... called me saying he is calling (with Indian accent)from "American Resort" because I filled out Walmart application... I do not shop at Walmart and never filled out such application. Reported phone# and incident to the FTC .. I am on the Do-Not-Call-list.

called to tell me that I filled out a application last Christmas. Asked me if I remembered, to which I said "No, of course not, it's been 8 months..." Went on to tell me i had won and asked me to attend something in Oakbrook, IL. I said i don't live in IL. He went on to ask me where I lived. I said that that info must be on my application. He said no (I'd never give my number and not an address...) I hung up on him.
He had a thick accent. He also knew my name. -

Got a call this morning from a woman with very thick Indian accent, I had to guess a lot of words. Claims that I filled out a survey months ago and I now I have just won a sweepstakes for free vacation for two. I asked her if I need to pay a deposit or any taxes first, she said no, and I need to do is to claim my prize at their local office (I never figured out the name of the company) But she would need to collect some personal information from me and my spouse to book the tickets. I refused and she hung up.

I got a call today at 5pm from a strong accent indian man saying he is from world wide traveling and I won a free trip. Stating I had to choose either one to lasvegas or to mexico one for 3 nights or one for 5 all expense paid he stated I filled out a survey at the mall last year around Christmas time. I told him that was impossible I am a procrastinator and shopped last min didnt have time to fill out a survey lmao I knew this was a scam I could barley understand him I asked multiple times to speak to someone else and he just ignored me and continued I asked his name and he ignored me as well he continued to say he needs to review my application with me so that his manager could review and confirm my trip also told me i had to pick my travel prize up at their local office I asked where and he ignored me and asked me if I was married which im not and asked my age as once as I told him 24 he asked how old was my boyfriend when I said 24 also he told me he has to call me back and hung up on me.

been calling numerous times with no message. I finally picked up. guy with thick indian accent said he was a manager for worldwide travel services. I told him nicely to stop calling me. he insisted on carrying on the conversation. I told him more sternly to stop calling me. He said "listen mother fucker I'm a manager". We then proceeded to get into a swearing match for 30 seconds before I just hung up.

at the end of the initial call from my previous post, the caller said that his manager would call me back. His 'manager' did call back asking all kinds of odd questions and I told him was a scammer and he sounded very convincing that he was not. He said it was a time share offer. I told him I was poor, but he said that was not an issue. Then he asked me my origin- if I was from Europe like my card said.(but I never would say that) once I told him no, he hung up on me!

Caller had a Thick accent. He was very polite at first, he told me I had filled out a sweepstakes card and that I was a winner. When I asked him what state I filled out the questionnaire, he said Ohio. when I told him he had the wrong person he became aggressive and wanted to know where I lived, I told him that was none of his business and asked him the same question,he refused to answer. I proceeded to tell him that this was scam he hung up.

Called with a very thick accent saying that I had entered a drawing to win a trip from American Resorts and won. The person (not sure the gender?) said I could choose one of two trips. One was a family trip to Orlando, the other was to anywhere in the US. The caller then asked me to confirm from the card I supposedly filled out I was married, my age bracket, and income bracket.
