Check the site . . . it explains how it works and it costs nothing (for land lines) ! [And No, I don't have stock in the company, but I wish I did!]

I get a call a day from 'Dun & Bradstreet' I tell them nothing other than that I am listed on the National Do Not Call registry, and to not call back. They call the very next day. I tell them that I am listed on the National Do Not Call registry, that I have asked them not to call, that I have reported them to the National Do Not Call, and to not call back. They call the next day and I repeat.
It's got to be a moneymaker for D&B or they wouldn't be so persistent.
I would NEVER do business with or rely upon information provided by a company with this kind of business ethics. -

said they were from microsoft 35 and i had spyware on my computer. called in the middle of the night and said it was urgent ( also thick accents). i think they were trying to scare me into giving them information ~ instead they got a po'ed mom with sleeping kids yelling in their ear!

Just got a call and they wanted to verify the business address. I told him if they are soliciting to not call again and he assured it was not a solicitation call. I told him not to call unless he had legitimate business and he hung up.

I actually got my first call yesterday, and it appeared to be exactly what most have described here. I called the number back and got a nice recorded message that this was indeed a D&B marketing number, and that if we had received a call from it, never fear, they would call again. Notice that no option to opt out was given. I then sent an email to the "Privacy Officer" at D&B and explained that if it really was their number, the blocked caller ID, the lack of an opt-out, and the stated insistence upon re-calling me added up to a pretty unprofessional face on their company. I also mentioned that regardless of all that, their number had just been blocked, and that they might want to check the comments out on this and other websites. Yup, just got another call, my call blocker threw them away, and I noticed that the Caller ID had been added this time as DUN&BRADSTREET. It is entirely possible that this was a legitimate call (we have recently started a business - also, my credit score is 5 points from perfect), but there's no way whatsoever that any information would ever be provided from this effort. I would suggest that all should do likewise.

My 90 yo father rec'd a call from them and gave them his address, etc. (!) I called the number back and rec'd a recorded msg saying they were Dun & Bradstreet and 'had my info', and I could not leave a msg. I called Dun & Bradstreet's 800 number and they have no record of this number for their company. I filed a complaint w/D & B and got a case number for follow up. I have put my father's number on the DNC list several times in the past few years.

ndroid phone & have call control & my phone picks up & hangs up leaves me a list of blocked calls. I wild carded area codes where if your not in oklahoma & Texas u will not be able to call my business line. Luv it. -

Paulie replied 9/9/14, 11:05 AMD&B is a legitimate company, but this number sometimes blocks the name and the real D&B does not seem to recognize the number. May be a collector, but I'm 5 point short of a perfect credit score and have zero debt, so this is unlikely. -

According to caller id this is "Dun and Bradstreet" calling now for nearly a week. They never leave a message and I have no idea how they got my number, all I know is that I'm not buying what they're trying to sell. Guess this is another number for the block list!
