I just received a call from 202-559-7583 on the caller ID and listened to a recording saying that this is the IRS and they are suing me and to call that number back for more information. When I called back as a PRIVATE NUMBER by dialing *67 before the number, it just rang multiple times until a machine with an British (maybe foreign British mix) answered and states, "The person you are trying to reach is unavailable. Please leave a message and we will return your call."
It's an obvious scam. Don't give them ANY information. Don't return the call. This is NOT the IRS.

This phone called me stating they were the IRS and were calling to settle a debt before they filed a lawsuit against me. This is a hoax!
DO NOT RESPOND to this number!!!!!!!!!!!!Simar replied 7/20/15, 1:45 PMthe same number called me half hr ago and said the same exact thing that they r calling from IRS and will be filing the law suit against us . I don't know what to do feeling sceard.

Got call from this number asking tax money which I was already paid.
Mentioned that because of some miscalculation the tax payment was low but later it was more than that after corrections so I will have to pay remaining amount.
