I recently received several calls from this number...one of which was to my Google Talk number. It came in as private, but I was given some email address. They use Sprint. Not only am I going to report them to my state Attorney General's Office, but also Sprint. If you get a call like this, you should report them too!!! If it is about a real debt you owe, they have broken many parts of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, and once again, they should be reported. If you ask them to not call again, after you tell them this, let them know you have recorded the call, video and audio, and that if they call again, you will report them with the proof that you asked them to never call. Make sure you ask them not to call at work either. The FDCPA does NOT require that you contact them in writing, and that they may not contact you by phone or at work if you have asked them not to. If you can't record the call, get a name and address and send them an UNSIGNED (so they don't forge your signature) written no call request by certified letter with return receipt request. These people MUST be stopped!

I keep getting these threatening calls, daily!! Same thing, that it's bank, check fruad and they will contact my empolyer or arrest me. They aslo tell to call by the end of the business day or else... Then noone answers the phone. Then they started calling my mother and step father! This needs to stop!!! it's driving me and my wife crazy!! What can we do??

EVER. the number is always blocked and the last time it showed on my caller ID as 697. What is that? I work for a bank and knew what they said was incorrect. Furthermore the FDCPA does not allow them to leave messages like this on anyone's voicemail. It is a violation. -

Classic.. broke 4 federal debt collection act laws within the 1st minute of speaking with me. Called me about some supposed debt I had from 11 years ago. Mentioned a bank I have never heard of let alone have done any business with.
Just ignore the call and the call back number. They legally cannot do anything to you. -

The caller left the message that several others have reported, that I was being charged with bank or check fraud and my employer would be contacted. I called back and a woman said she worked for a network of attorneys, the company name was Work Positions. I told her this sounded like a scam. She replied that they would go ahead and serve me since I didn't want her help.

Informed me in a message that they were going to contact my employer and I would be arrested. I don't write checks or have any loans, so they are trying to scam the wrong person. Another SCAMMER. They start this up the same time, year after year as people start getting their tax refunds so they can get your account info and clean you out. Do NOT give them any information about yourself or others. Called from a blocked number and provided no name, just a call back number of 202-803-5785

I received a message from "private" telling me I had until the end of business today to call (202) 803-5785. They said I was accused of bank and/or check fraud and would contact my employer about issuing a warrant. I called my place of employment and they had already contacted them saying I committed this crime. The information was given to the business owner. DAMAGE DONE! I did not call the # in fear that it was a scam that would cost for the call. Instead I did an Internet search of the number to find out that this # has been used in attempted scams.

I received a call from this number and it was an automated recording telling me I need to call by the end of business day to have me served at my place of employment for bank and check fraud. Then leaves the number to call. I call and it rang 15 times a very rude lady came on the line and said her name was Sandra and that she needs my checking account information and empolyment information to garnish because it is an IRS Litigation law firm located in Washington D.C. owned by the President of the United States. I told her she is a liar and that I've reported her to the police and she said good they will arrested you within 5 minutes for bouncing checks you have 17,000 in bounced checks and payday loans bank fraud you loser b****. Then hung up on me.

scam artists trying to get you to verify employer so they can steal money from your paycheck. let them file bank fraud charges on me...and we'll see if they stick. it is highly illegal for any company to leave that type of message on a device (answering machine or voice mail) when there is no 100% proof that the number belongs only to the person (victim) that's being called. i live in TEXAS never been to Washington, D.C. and further more they left the message on my mom's cell phone (a number that isn't nor has been mine) and i haven't lived with my parents in a very very long time. so like i said, they can file away but in the end it's all fake and a scam.

I have received calls at my work place repeatedly telling me to call this number. They start off with a threatening felony charges and local county officials will be arresting me, asking to verify my address. They have tons of personal information. They claim to be pursuing me over an unpaid pay day loan. I HAVE NO UNPAID PAYDAY LOANS. I work for a government agency. They will not stop calling even after repeated requests. At this moment there are 14 different companies like unto this one calling my workplace over the same ficticious debt. None will stop. Be prepared for further onslaught!

I pressed 9,the voice answered "litigations", I explained "this is a government agency, cease calling here...". The litigator cut me off and said "I can call whoever I want you faggot, suck dick government employee". "Fuck off suck dick." Then he hung up. Nice reputable collection activities for a debt I don't even owe. Anyone out there know how to get these idiots to stop calling? -

These morons call my office number 3-4 times a day. I get a new name about every 3rd call. I keep hitting the 9 prompt, ask to have our number removed and yet they call. So now- I press 9 and tell them that not only does that person work here,they died in a bizare grape Jelly accident, I offer pictures of the victim. Other times, I explain that they called an abortion clinic and I was in the middle of a "messy one" so far today, I guess I ate something or maybe its them, But I have belched in the caller's ear, farted and made odd sounds as if I am constipated...or the other way.in the past week, I asked them if they like Miracle whip and then ask them "WHERE?". I asked them if they would like to talk to my Dog, cat, fish, turtle, dead aunt tillie and my Lesbian Mother who prefers to be called Maximus, when she dresses naughty. I am sure they'll stop calling that number. I am ready to get REALLY creative.

Automated message from 213-337-0014 said to call back on 202-803-5785. I called back and they said that I took out a payday loan and they want their money. That I could settle today or I would be suppena'd to court. I told them I never took out a payday loan ever and hung up.

Just received a VM from someone at #202 803 5785 saying they will contact my employer with court papers because I have committed bank/check fraud, likely story since I don't even write checks! They are the ones committing fraud! No way am I going to fall for this one! Might call them back just to scare them back by "recording" the phone call and threatening to take them to court!
