I don't know who these people are. I am in the military and already have healthcare. I did notice that the calls started after I ordered medicine from an online pharmacy. I contacted the pharmacy about the phone calls too. I'm only 40 and don't need the services others here say they are offering.

I believe if they are reminded that there has been no release of information signed, and with the privacy laws that exist regarding medical information- that they are outside of law if they do not accept that you do not want to share information with them. They sent out mailers with do it yourself colon tester kits to be mailed back, with language that made it read like it was a must do procedure, by using an end date. Sharing that information with them would of been voluntarily done. Sensitive information is deliberately written in a way to insurance companies from providers to elicit as little information as possible. They are going direct for it.

I block them, and then calls come from another number. I am sick of them. If I do get a person on the phone from one of their calls, it will be unpleasant for the telemarketing person- who is doing their job. The company has hired people to be victims, because of the aggressive and unprofessional "sales" practices that do not belong in medicine. If it weren't working- they wouldn't be doing it. They do a lot of gap insurance, and perhaps intimidate people in the elderly population to comply.
Tracy replied 2/26/18, 11:44 PMJust to respond, this program started in 2015, I'm from UHC, I work with the Medicaid population, yes i call members and the reason why we do this, because they like you are unaware of the services we offer, like transportation, utility assistance,free cell phones. We don't solicit, because the members that we do call are already enrolled with us, oh and also we offer behavioral health to member referrals to specialists, drop off application's if they need help filling it out well guess what I would go to their home and help with that also, yes there are a lot of jerks that take advantage of people and it's unfortunate but if you do not want UHC to call you at all you have to just say can you please do not contact me, they should take the appropriate steps to assist you with that. But sorry that you were harassed but some people are definitely jerks.

I used to always get calls from united healthcare house calls until I did something about it... Kept writting them letters that eventually something was finally done and now.. No more calls, sometimes you just have to be mean in order to get things done. Now I have the company on my call block list just in case.

Called UHC to report harassment. Was told these are "promotional" calls. Right.
Was sent to House Calls "promotional department" and requested that my number be removed from their call list.
Their number is 866-686-2504.

They call repeatedly, leave "we need to speak with you messages" which I never respond to. If they are with United Health Care, that company needs to wake up to how hateful and intrusive these robocalls are. Counterproductive? to say the least if they are trying to push a health care service on me. Ain't gonna work.

I asked my primary care about this business of repeated calls for 'in house visits' and my doctor said he didn't know what 'they are up to, doing all this calling'. If the doctor doesn't know, I don't want to know. If so many people are complaining, why hasn't something been done?

Received a call, at work, from this number, after a few long seconds of silence an automated message came on saying the call was from United Healthcare and it was important that they talk about their in home service, then I was placed on hold with some horrible jazz music. I sat on hold for a few minutes waiting to speak with someone so I could ask them not to call this number again, because I'm constantly receiving calls from UHC for an employee who no longer works here. After about 15 minutes, I was still on hold, at this point I decided just to see how long it would actually take someone to answer. Over an hour and 15 minutes later I finally decided to end the call and in all that time no one answered!
What kind of company makes an automatic call to someone's work, or any place of business, tells them they need to discuss important information, tells them to stay on the line for the next available operator, then leaves them on hold for over an hour?!!! -

Just got a call from this number with a recording stating that this was the final attempt to contact me, it was the IRS and they were filing a law suit against me. Left the number, 202-618-1984 to call back. Its Veterans Day, so I know all Fed. offices are closed!!

Someone from this number has been calling me for a couple of years ... something about scheduling a house call .... for United Health Care. I do have UHC .. but I don't want someone coming to my house ... if they need information they can contact my doctor.

As with the other comments, they want to to schedule an in home evaluation. I have told them no countless times. If u need medical advice I see my doctor. Nobody is coming into my home to evaluate me and go say God only knows what to God only knows whom. They call all the time, even after telling them no...now I just don't answer anymore.

"Housecalls" showed on Caller ID when they called. Identified themselves as United Health Care. Wanted to schedule an in home health assessment by "certified Health Professional". "Housecalls" is or was under CIP (Care Improvement Plus" and may still be, however, Housecalls was purchased by UHC in 2012. I have been getting numerous calls from them. They do not identify who the health profesional would be....probably a Nurse Practioner, who are regulated by the state in which they are licensed...In Colorado,as to what exactly they can do, and IF they have to collaborate with an outside physician. I don't believe in Colorado they have to do that..I looked on the AANP website, all states are listed.
I feel this is an invasion of my privacy, I do not want someone I do not know coming to my home to assess my health or give me an in home physical, ( and not copay either....they said). I feel it is not only invasive, but in some ways undermines MY OWN PRIMARY CARE DOCTOR's responsibility to me as his patient, and even though Housecalls says they send reports to my doctor..I feel the ONLY INFORMATION THEY OR United Health Care needs about me is what MY PRIMARY PHYSICIAN supplies them. I feel if you do this, even though they say the report to your dr. they undermine the very stability of the DOCTOR-PATIENT relationship and what HE BELIEVES YOU, as his patient needs or doesn't need. This is more than aggravating tome. I have AARP Medicare Complete, which to my understanding is NOT PART OF AARP they simply allow their name to be used ( probably paid for) This is STILL a government form of Medicare..and is administered by UHC---at lease in my case. I wouldn't have this insurance if my own healthcare I had before had not unceremoniously dumped me this past Spring...which they said was NOT due to Obamacare, I don't believe that. At any rate, when I first started looking into this phone number
I thought it was a scam. I told the woman who called that. I made an appointment for this in home thing, after thinking about it and doint more research I called them back and cancelled the appointment. I DO NOT want them coming into my home, being assessed by THEIR CERTIFIED HEALTH PROFESSIONAL, when I have a Primary Care Doctor I like, trust, and know he has my best interests at his work. I really resent the INVASION of these people. I see this as a way for UHC to get information about me and my health that normally my Primary would have, and I also see it as sort of an "out" for them to pay for things my Primary might order for me in his assessment of my health...basically taking away from him as my doctor, and they have someone OF THEIR CHOOSING do the "work" of my Primary and he doesn't get paid. I DON"T want them to have that kind of control over my health care, and I don't think they should have that kind of control. As I said, I find it aggravating to say the least. They keep calling me, I don't answer the phone, and the leave messages that they have IMPORTANT information for me. Those people who call are they telemarketers or are they low scale employees of Housecalls and UHC? That was about seven months ago. As of today, 8/31/15, they have not called back. -

It's United Health Care. They want you to have an in-home health assessment done by one of their healthcare professionals (nurse, etc.). Sure it isn't for our benefit. I called IHC (my insurance company) and told them to take me off their list. I have my own doctors who do my assessments on every appointment. They still call. Don't fall for it! Tell them to leave you alone!

I want these people to stop calling me. I have a doctor. Thier calls are so often it is bordering on harassment. I resent it. I told them NO once. I am not agreeing to one of their Health Practitioners to come into my home to make an assessment. That is why I have a doctor. How can they be made to STOP calling?
