This was a scam claiming my internet provider owed me money, using a caller ID and phone number of my cable provider, after causing phone, tv & internet issues at my home. They then attempted to convince me they owed me $500 which they would transfer into my banking account, which is how I pay my cable bill. When I entered the amount on the form they sent on-line it showed I had entered $5500.00 which also showed up in my checking account. After I was told not to check my account they would figure out a way to straighten the problem out I smelled a scam, checked my account and it turned out they had transferred the $5,500 from my savings into my checking. I got yelled at for not complying with their demands by checking my account then they claimed they had locked my bank account which now show a zero balance they then wanted me to go out to a local store which sold gift cards, which I know from past experience is a scam and quite probably give them a call back and give them the card number so they could steal my $5,000. My communications with them stopped before they got to that point as I'd already experienced this kind of a scam with scammers using my local electrical power company phone number and Id. They are slick & evil, don't get scammed, shut them down and get in touch with your utility any way you can but not with any information the scammers have given you!
