We have been getting calls from this number up to 8 times a day. They identify as Comenity and call for some alleged unpaid debt. We don't have any late bills and up until these calls have never heard of "Comenity". What's more, we don't know why they are calling us or how they got the number. All we do know is that the only way to silence them is to block the number.

Ok I did have an outstanding amount owing but I didn't really dig deep until my 30th phone call. I asked both of our times could have been spared if they have just left a message on my phone rather than calling again and again and looking rather suspicious. This guy can't remember his name told me that that is their protocol to not leave any messages. So here is the message to you guys - think long and hard whether you owe a dime, because I did (do) :-)

This super smooth guy plays it off as if he is from Google and wanted to make sure my business listing was optimized. It was actually really good timing because I had been waiting for the postcard from Google to verify my business address. I thought that the phone call was in regards to that. He asked for a couple of company tags, address location and website info to make sure, then told him that they have a $200 and $350 package deal that covers optimization and info about leads. When I asked him slightly more in depth info, he couldn't answer them and said that a more knowledgable technician would be able to follow up more detail once we decide we'd like to buy this. I thought that was a red flag and was right, I just said my business partner and I will take a look and just think some more on this and his well-spoken, smoothness totally disappear and he ended the call by saying "Well then.... okay then." Wow! Such a weird experience. TOTAL SCAM.
