I just recieved a call from this # & a male with an India accent stated that he was with Windows & that my computer is infected with make ware & wanted me to turn it on so he could walk me through fixing the issues. I replied, that is impossible. He asked if I thought he was lying, I stated; Yes,I do & I will not turn on my computer. He then hung up without a cordial end to the call. My computer is new with protection & has not been linked to the Internet outside of the initial set-up that was done in store. This is a SCAM...

A foreign person I could barely understand told me NY computer had been sending error messages to them for a long time. Said I needed to get their help very soon as it was a threat to Nat'l security. . . Then he asked me if I even had a computer. OMG...He must think I am a total moron!! LOL

I got a call from 70000023. It was a man with an Indian accent. He said my computer was sending out information. I've worked in the IT field for a while, and have had to clean up many computers from scams like this. This is called Ransomware. Do not talk to them, and do not give them any information.
