This numer has called my home several time, no VM. Today I was able to send them to my fax machine. I have read in other sites that a good way to get rid of pesky calls is to send them to the fax (if you don't have a call blocker, apparently their computer will identify your number as inactive and (in theory) stop the calls. I can say that it has worked only for robo calls, but at least is something.

15 calls between 4:45 and 6:30 p.m. tonight from this number. After the 4th call, I quit answering. Will report each call to the joke of National Do Not Call Registry.
The 1st 4 calls were all recorded surveys for the American Petroleum Association.wds replied 10/1/15, 7:03 PMSadly, congress in their "infinite" wisdom (heavy on the snark, that) ... removed Surveys, charities and political calls from the DNC. -

This number calls at least ten to fifteen times a day. Even after 9pm some evenings. It is a robo call saying " are you registered to vote in alaska?" Press 1 for yes 2 for no. Pressed both buttons at different calls, still they call, daily. Finally decided to do the entire survey thinking, maybe they wont call again, they asked stupid questions about who I would vote for as Gov. In Alaska, really? I live in Mass. Then at the end of the call, it says, this call was sponsored by the REPUBLICAN NATIONAL COMITTEE. and they gave their 202 phone number. So I called that 202 number, and of course, a machine, so I told them to stop calling my number and gave them the phone number to my home, and nothing, nada! They still call multiple times a day. These dirtbags think I a voting for them? What a crock of crap! They should be sued.

This number calls my house countless times a week. In the rare instance when I pick up, often they hang up. Today when they called, they were asking for a donation to the Republican National Committee Senatorial Campaign asking for my financial support. When I told the woman I do not donate to ANY political party, she continued her spiel and I hung up. My phone co. said to start keeping a log of calls and they may be able to block number. I hope so!

You may want to check out the LEGITIMATE exceptions to DNC (http://www.fcc.gov/encyclopedia/do-not-call-list). You can control the first two exceptions, but good luck on NEVER getting a call meeting the other two exceptions. You may be surprised when they call, they probably share live numbers as well.
When you have only shared your number with loved ones, friends, and family, EVERY call is either important or annoying.
I screen all calls, directing folks to talk if I may not be recognizing the number. I come online to check unknown numbers. Repeat calls from questionable sources result in a block.

Brazil, Germany, and a host of other countries are transitioning to renewable alternative to gasoline (rapeseed in Germany). Why, in the names of the gods would I support a pipeline for sludge the Canadians do not want for themselves? It is bad enough one pipeline was built and is operational, When the pipeline bursts, it will not be rainwater that gushes forth.
All API is doing is pissing me off by their relentless attack. My House and Senate candidates will be chosen with this as an important factor. -

Phone rang. Checked Caller ID. Didn't recognize the number. Didn't answer. Done. No muss. No fuss. Not much time taken up with nonsense.
Didn't pick up to let the caller(s) know that it was a viable number. Didn't listen to find out what accent was used or what the purpose of the call was. Didn't care then. Don't care now.
Didn't get upset if the DNC was adhered to (I'm on it but scammers, who don't follow the DNC guidelines, will find ways to get around it) or what Obama is going to do about it.
I have a life and instead of getting bent out-of-shape, morally indignant, cursing and slamming the phone down, and making this a big deal (instead of the small irritant that I choose to make it), I move on with my life. I'm in charge of what takes up my time.
That's just what I do. Simple. More power for me and for you, if you follow my lead, right?
P.S. The DNC IS working; otherwise, calls from legitimate charities, political action
committees, annual fundraising, and other businesses that ARE following the
guidelines would be calling, also.

This number has called eight times in the past two hours. Answered last two times- automated system saying they were doing a scientific study, press 'one' for female and 'two' for male. We pressed 'three' over and over again. Apparently didn't like it and the call disconnected. They called back and we did the same thing again. Haven't heard from them in the past 15 minutes so maybe it worked.

I get 2-3 calls from this number every night, every day and when my answering machine answers, they hang up. Sometimes, when I unplug my phone and plug back in, the phone rings twice right away from same number and then it hangs up after 2nd ring. I'm on every Do Not Call List with land line and cellphones and still we get these out of area, toll free, and unknown phone calls every day, every night and we're tired of them.
