LOL... This one belongs to none other than Portfolio Recovery Assets. They're among the worst of the worst and they deserve a big ole swirlie in the toilet bowl for their evil ways. Portfolio Recovery Assets is an extremely aggressive and thorough debt collection agency that calls at least twice or more every day. They try to seek judgements and collect on old zombie debts that are way past the statute of limitations and for bloodsucking usurious companies like Bank Of America, Beneficial, Capital One, CenturyLink, MBNA and others that should have died off completely way back when the dot com, housing and credit bubbles popped.

Very rude . Told them person they were looking for wasn't here .They wanted to call at work . I asked what it was about and was told it was personal . That's a debt collectors usual reply . Well , I am Pamela and I answered the phone and I do not owe any money . I get mail all the time on something that was taken care of years ago .

Well what can I tell you? These guys (Portfolio Recovery) are genuine bottom feeders of debt collection industry. They buy old statute expired debt and through harassment tactics try to collect 10 to 30 cents on the dollar. Of course the minute anything is collected, the statute date resets to day 1 and their other outfits and ambulance chasers come after you. If you have noticed their letter of settlement is only for the debt with them, not original debtor or the next place they sell it to. The only way to fight these guys is to get with your state authorities. These guys know all the Federal loopholes.
