Just got a call wanting to do a political survey in ILL. I kindly informed the woman that the 608 area code is in WI, to which she informed me that I was mistaken. Now that's funny stuff, since she didn't seem to know her ass from 3rd base. I let her know that 618 is southern ILL, and 608 is southern WI - and she thanked me and hung up.
I'm going to ask if they've found Jesus next time they call... -

Anyone who calls me unsolicited is "Untrustworthy". These survey companies should have never been excluded from the "Do Not Call List" either. But when it's the political parties who are behind them, they covered their own priorities. Lift receiver and hang it back up--no one needs your information--especially a random stranger.

NUMBER CALLED FROM 888-617-2292 first asked to update my listing information to which I told her to not call and our listing was fine. She proceeded to act rude like my listing was archived. Our listing online is fine. Moments later she called from a new number 757-769-7127 and acted like she had a question about our business. I tried not to answer but I am at work and I need to be polite so I answered her question even though I know she's the same woman and is fishing for information. She got what she needed and hung up on me. I called back I am tired of these waste of time scam calls. I proceeded to waste the time of anyone I could " talk to" they kept hanging up on me. I guess they don't like to be messed with while they do their jobs. Yeah, I dont either. "ladies" kept pressing numbers and transferring me and banging their phone around and hanging up. liars. Waste of time and air. Rude.

I answered a call from this unfamiliar number because I thought it might be from a company with which I'm dealing. Instead, the caller was seemingly a teenaged girl, conducting a survey on the March 2018 Santa Fe, New Mexico mayoral race, for an outfit called Issues and Answers. At first she spoke fast and indistinctly, like kids often do. I told her to speak more clearly and she did. She asked if I was Herbert xxx. I said yes. She then asked if I was familiar with politics in Santa Fe. I said yes, more or less. She then began a repetitious series of questions about the mayoral candidates. She had no idea how to pronounce their names. I helped her with those and implicitly encouraged her to succeed with the interview. It went on for 25 minutes. In closing, I said I appreciated her efforts, but added that the organizers of the survey had made it much too long. Practically everyone they called would hang up. I hoped that I would not be the sole data point for their survey.

They called once and I was in an office setting and could not answer, but suggested they call back. Usually I never get a call back, but 30 minutes later I did and was willing to learn a little bit about them and answer their questions. -

I just got a call from some polling outfit, phone # 7577697127 --who asked my age and then my ethnicity. I told them I was black at which point the caller said "unfortunately we have filled that ethnicity quota so I could have a good evening ...yada yada yada." I hung up. Sounds fishy to me.

Received a call from this number and my caller ID indicated Virgina Beach, VA. The man on the other end indicated that he was taking a poll on opinions and specified he was not collecting money. He then asked me if I was able to answer his questions in a "private setting," to which I had replied I could not, as I was in a public setting (mind you, I had the tv on in the background). He then said "Ok thanks" and hung up.

I don't answer unknown calls so when it called me the first time I hit ignore...then 5 min later it called me again and i let it go to voicemail. They didn't leave me a message. If someone really needs me to call them they leave a message. I blocked them hopefully that will keep them at bay, but it seems like everyone finds a loop hole here and there

Called me every night for 2 weeks. I would answer and nobody would be there. Finally called during the day and I answered and I was told they were the survey group for the Oregon CDC, but it is a Virginia telephone number. Hate to break it to them, but there is NO Oregon CDC, so they are full of it. Just gathering as much information as they can if you are foolish enough to give it out.

I revived a call from this company last night @6:45 and the call lasted 13 minutes. The call only lasted so long because the woman giving the survey for my local power company was so pleasant. She told me that the people she usually surveys don't really have a sense of humor or think she's selling something. I had her cracking up so much about how ridiculous the questions were that she started stumbling over her words. It didn't kill me to take the survey. The questions were not at all intrusive. I had just finished cooking dinner, my husband was at the gym, my kids were doing homework and it was 13 minutes spent making that ladies job a little easier for that day. I googled the number just to see if I could find the company to leave a comment. I usually hang up with things like that but this time I just decided not too. Don't get me wrong I get that this was an anomaly because I've hung up on telemarketers, rude survey takers and people who just call too early or too late. And my answers were mostly BS but what the heck she got her job done and I don't have to worry about them calling over and over.

Called and left no message four days ago. Called again today (Saturday morning), so I picked up. Caller claimed to be conducting survey for Oregon Dept of Health. Said that my number was chosen at random, gave the usual assurances of anonymity, confidentiality. First asked to confirm phone number, which I did (on the theory that they knew it anyway). Next asked whether this number was a mobile or land line. I asked why? Caller said that they wanted to be sure to reach every resident in Oregon (which would be ridiculous for a survey). I declined to answer and suggested that we go on to the next question. Caller ended the call.
Yes, I realize that there is concern in the survey community about bias due to possible demographic differences between cell phone and land-line users. It strikes me as implausible, however, that not knowing would be sufficient to invalidate a survey data point in a legitimate survey about Oregonians' health.Worker replied 5/1/18, 7:41 PMThey shouldn't have ended the call. Left a 2 and a half minute voicemail of nothing but strange beeping and then an automated voice said I had reached a number that has been disconnected... how are you going to leave a voicemail telling me I reached a wrong number? Lol
Annoyed phone call recipient replied 11/15/15, 9:18 PMWe also received the annoying beeping. Why don't they understand that if we don't answer, we don't want to talk to them. -

Called claiming to be on behalf of CDC and Massachusetts state health services wanting me to take a survey. Phone operator sounded as nervous as can be.
