Called saying they were DTE consumer energy- but no name showed on the caller I'd, just the phone#. 1st red flag was they had the wrong account name and asked to speak the wrong person-Could not provide first name only asked to speak to Ms. Last Name. 2nd red flag was they asked for the account #(if it was indeed DTE or anyone else legit for that matter they themselves are supposed to verify the account # for you. That is how you as the consumer are able to verify they are supposed to be handling/managing your account.) 3rd red flag, the lady started getting really slick at the mouth when I asked her to verify who she was and explain this so called savings program before she asked me for my account # again. Then she finally broke and called me a Bi!#h and hung up. She called right back but hung up by the time I answered. Please beware of this # and others that ask for any information they should be providing you in order to verify their identify. And if the the person who called is reading this I hope your mother is proud of having a daughter so pathetic and basic she has to earn a living by scamming people. √
