Says their calling for my hospital. (I owe perhaps a thousand to insurance company but not for more then a month so why would it be a collection company & I always pay whats due anyhow) Tried calling them back but want my social #. (Hospital probably already has that). Sounds like their "FISHING" for info- Adding to BLOCK list.
-
St Joseph Regional Medical Center uses them and turns in the bills before they are even a month old - be careful we double triple check the date of date of service and patient account number followed by the date of service record I PAY ONLY St Joseph directly for friend has medicare and St. Joseph accounting system i not in sync it takes them some time close to a month to post payments so beware you could be overpaying for services rendered ALso you do not give you your social security # to anyone no matter what - they have it on record if with the bill turned over to them -

This company says owe a bill on my husband who has passed. He was in a nursing home and they take care of all the billing, I have no clue. They still callp
Nana replied 2017-09-13 17:51:19They call every morning and every evening wanting to talk to my husband. He passed away three years ago at the VA hospital. I will not pay for his services and they should know that because my calls are recorded, or so they say. -
Debt collectors blocked their number

A lady on the other insisted that this is a "business matter". But would not tell any thing unless we provide all our details. Sounded like a scam call. We asked if you could at-least provide what would be the "business matter"; but it kept on going in loops all the time.
Seriously, people do not have authority to threaten us on calls. Companies like this should be treated like criminals. They need to pay us for harassment. I feel threatened and harnessed. We are scared of them and will make every effort against the threat.
Kat replied 2019-10-10 06:53:01Turn the number into scam or look up who take complaints. Start with your provider. They will know who to file complaint. -
Knew my name and email address. Said they were representing St. Joseph Mercy Hospital. Mentioned a past due bill. I was suspicious due to only dealing with the hospital directly.
-
It's a legit company. I didn't know the doctor was sending my bill via email, and I was only paying the paper bills. So, I did have an overdue bill. When I called, they didn't ask for SSN as other callers mentioned. They were able to tell me enough info that I could verify through the doctor directly.
-
I blocked that number but they got around it by using robocall number 608 370 6666 check that number
-
Call for a bill. I already paid that.
-
They called and left a msg that they were calling about a hospital I have been to in the past. If this is a collection call, why haven’t I received any bills through the mail from the hospital and/or them? I think it is a scam. I will not be returning their call and block the number, although I’m sure they have many other numbers to call from.
-
Have no idea who this is, why they are calling...they left no name, any identifying information, or reason for call. Sound like a scam or fraud. Read other reviews.
Five words: unlawful debt collection practices act...its a thing
As an aside, I owe no monies to any hospital, physician, etc. -
Left a robo call at 9 in the morning for me to call them back. Wanted me to give my social. Hung up. Already have one debt collection company calling me for a hospital bill. Dont need two.
-
Says they are calling about a patient. Want me to call back. I have never been to this hospital. No one I know has.
-
Yes, it is a debt collector.I have them blocked. I do have some medical bills which I am paying on. I don't answer. Not giving them my info (they should have that). I only deal with original hospital/doctor.

Call related to Calls pretending to be government, businesses, or family and friends received in Ocala, Florida. Calling with recorded message (robocalls)
-
they call me try to get personal information??? scam!!! be carefull !!! turn it down don talk to them
-
They call constantly. In my opinion, third party debt collection should be against the law. You owe your original creditor, not these debt collectors that purchase these debts for pennies on the dollar yet will rob you and make you pay the full amount plus interest and penalties. All that in spite of the fact that you never contracted with them as far as the debt is concerned.
-
keep call about bills
-
These people call several times a day trying to collect on a bill that has been paid. Total slime balls. Tried to block them but they are able to dodge the block. Have reported them several times to my provider and the FCC. How do they stay in business doing this?
-
These people keep quiet when I answer. When I say -hello- they hang up. Blocked their number.
-
Automated recording call to business all the time.
-
Call in early morning and late at night. Don't leave a message.
-
Calls at bedtime (8:30 pm local time) never leaves a message
-
Total scam. Did have some personal information about health coverage but tried to get me to pay bogus amount. Avoid at all costs
-
Called, left no message though.
-
They would tell you that they are not a collection agency when in fact they are cause they ask for personal information when they should already have it. So in turn this company is a collection agency and has broken every regulation pertaining to the fair debt collection practice act.
Nana replied 2017-09-12 20:15:23They call and say just a moment while I turn on recording, and then ask for my husband. He passed away 3 years ago and if they are recording they should know that -
Med Collector. I told her to contact Mitch McConnell and the rest of the buzzards.
Sure are making America Great Again. -
Very rude, trashy people with no class!! No respect
-
They are medical collections, I owe cancer bills, they won't come down low enough on a monthly payment that I can make, constantly call driving us crazy. We can only pay what we can, we have to eat and have shelter, electricity, food and my meds and my husband meds.
-
Never leave a message. Cowardly action.
-
I don't know if this company is legally collecting the pmts for medical bills from my hospital or not when I just tried to ck the # to see who called me. I have pd them on my credit cd and then got bills from VA for the same chgs. When I just pd a few wks ago now I must go back and ck my balances for the $ still owed doesnt' reflect the fact I've almost pd my hospital chgs for my services. oops! how stupid am I if it is a fraud company...OMG...
-
This is. NPAS, a collection service for medical Bill's mostly clinic but some hospital.I was hospitalized for a month and I'm on Medicare. You can imagine my Bill's. They don't want to hear the simple fact that I don't have any $$. They still call but I block them
-
She said she was with green oaks and needed my address and date of birth to verify account. I dont owe any money to green oaks. So i knew this was boggest
-
After repeated calls from NPAS, I called my hospital billing service and they told me that NPAS was a 3rd party collection agency and to not deal with them. I had paid my bill directly to the hospital and my account showed no balance due. Do not deal with these people. Deal with your medical provider directly.

This number has been calling me several times and I did answer and the lady asked for all my information. I asked what is she billing me for. She states it is for hospital bills. I tell her I don't owe anyone anything because I just had a baby and my insurance is paying everything 100%. She claims I owe money and needed my information. I refused everything but my address. She then continued to say I owe money and she will be needing to take a payment. I then told her I am not paying them a dime because I owe them nothing. I then hung up on her and not received a call since then. I checked my insurance companies and they have paid ALL my bills.
-
Never leaves a message but calls incessantly. Blocking them.
Hunter replied 2015-11-03 02:04:03They're harassers for overcharging hospitals. -
The first thing they said was do to privacy laws that I would HAVE to give my social security number for verification. She also said is there someone with the last name starting with S, I said, you talk me b**tch, you called me. She said they were trying to get in touch with the senior citizen that had a very large outstanding medical bills so they could give assistance.
I then said, the only thing you want to assist with is either robbing my bank account or some other type of scam....I NEVER give my social security number to anyone let alone someone who calls incessantly and leaves no message when the answering machine goes off.
I told her yes, you have gotten ahold of a seventy year old Senior citizen but this senior isn't senile b*tch. Take my number off your call list. By the way I hope you enjoy prison time because while I kept you on the phone, your number was being traced. I had the police put a TRAP on my line so they could take down scam artists like you.
She said very quickly...."ma'am your number is being removed from our list as we speak. I said, well dear....that was just too little too late. You've just earned yourself 3 hots and a cot for quite a few months, but at least you'll be warm throughout the Winter.
When I told them that there was a TRAP on my phone because of the numerous scam calls I was getting, she couldn't get off the line quick enough!!!
Revenge is soooo sweet!! I hope she sleeps well tonight. bwahaahaa, bwahaahaa...lol replied 2015-12-23 22:50:06this post gave me cancerAmn replied 2018-10-18 01:35:36Haha it's a legit company!!! Not fraudulent at all this is a 3rd party billing company for hospitals .. they have to VERIFY HIPPA -
The caller FINALLY left their company name : NPAS. Looked up number and see here that NPAS = National Patient Account Services. They said were calling to speak with my mother about a "business matter." She is in a nursing home so I am guessing it's about a medical bill. I said I'd pass on the message to her. Good luck with her calling them back--she's not in any condition to even call us! I've now blocked their number.
-
My husband called this number back on a "personal matter" after they left that message. They tried to get into from my husband, he said "you need to give me info on why you called" they hung up. Sketchy

Got a call from this number, from a woman who could barely (and I do mean barely) speak English, insisting that we provide a date of birth and address before should would say why she was calling. Uh, no, that's a prelude to identity theft. We called the number back and got someone who spoke our language, but still went in circles over the DOB and address. Finally, she explained it was a billing issue from our medical provider -- except that we've already paid the bill and have the data to prove it. I understand medical practices have a problem with debt collection, but these kind of tactics won't help.
