Called and left no VM. Called the # back(with a blocked #) and a recording says "thank you for calling us back. We have important information about your vehicle. Please stay on the line for a representative." and then it hangs up. Ive called back several times and the same thing happens....SCAM!

This is why I give out only my Google number... Thanks to Good Ole Uncle Goog, I wasn't bothered on my cellphone by the caller because the number was recognized as a Spammer and so the call was ignored and sent directly to my spam folder on Google Voice. Thanks little buddy!

Never touched edmunds.com so may have to add carfax.com to the list of offending sites.busted one local dealership with the site for bait and switch and they had my number so GMT auto sales in St. Louis could also be guilty

I called John Elway Chevrolet trying to find a particular style of a new Chevy Trax. They didn't have what I was looking for, and in true car dealer fashion, I was told that I would buy what THEY wanted to sell me. (In fact, their inventory was absolutely dreadful). Because I walked, they sold my cell phone number to this national car peddler. John Elway Chevrolet is as crooked as it's owner and namesake.

I was lead to believe he was from the Ford dealership where I'd looked for cars, but find out here he probably came from Edmunds.com or Truecar.com. He dropped the name of the dealership and led me to believe he worked there and I said I'd just been there yesterday and met with a salesman I had an appointment with. When I asked why he didn't know I'd been to the dealership, he said "I'm in another building." But I'm sure he got my name on the ineternet when Igoing to the local dealership (which it did, they contacted me as I'd requested info, but reading comments here make me think it was the Truecar.com website, which I may have linked with through Edmunds. car DEALERS BEWARE: THIS GUY LED ME TO BELIEVE HE WAS FROM MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP.

called and hung up after 1-2 rings. no one there when i answered. i do not have any reason to be contacted by a ford dealership that i know of.
columbia SC replied 12/5/14, 4:02 PMso i had called BMW dealership yesterday to set up a test drive and apparently they farm out their sales calls to this line. caller called at least 3 times and hung up, when i finally did answer caller was laughing hysterically and wanted to knw exactly what vehicle i was looking for... i called the local dealership back and they said they didn't know anythign about it. don't reccomend providing your number to local car dealerships if you don't want spam phone calls from odd national sales lines.
