I got a call from a man asking for the person who is in charge of the merchant services. I said "I'm sorry, we're not interested," and hung up. I get at least two of these calls a week.
I get a call IMMEDIATELY back, saying, "Can I just speak to *my boss's name*? This isn't a sales call." I asked him his name and where he was calling from.
Damien, "My name is Damien, I'm calling from your merchant service. My number is 1 855 409..."
Me, "Okay Damien *writes down numbers as he says them."
Damien, "Can you just repeat those numbers back to me?" (In a VERY rude tone, I assumed to make sure I'm actually writing it down."
Me, "Uhhh 1 855 409..."
And then he finished off the number. I then asked, "So what, exactly, is this call in regards to?"
Damien *growing increasingly impatient and rude*, "I have on record that you were charged too much, so I wanted to call to make sure that your account was credited. There should be something marked as 'adjusted' or 'credited' in your May statement."
I came online and googled the phone number and read all of these comments.
I will update you if he calls back, but clearly it's just an aggressive sales call. -

said they were reviewing my merchant account and I was being overbilled. Told me I needed to send them statements asap. PROBLEM IS: There is no merchant at the number they called...it is a residence! I told them as such and they told me I was lying and harming my business!

The guy wanted to speak to the owner of the business, he was so frantic that if I didn't provide the monthly credit card statement, it might be too late to get my money back. I didn't provide him with any info, he sounded so fishy.

Received a call from this phone number and they said I was being over charged on my CC statement. They wanted me to fax a copy of the CC statement to them. I kept telling her I really didn't trust her and then I asked her to tell me the name of my CC provider and she hung up.
Ryan replied 7/26/17, 10:48 PMYou should have faxed it in.. 2 years ago they called me I was at .67 basis points which is 6.70 per 1000$ and paying .33 cents a transaction with first data and they got me .10 basis points which is 1$ per 1000$ and .05 cents a transaction. They told me to look up first data on complaintsboard.com and I did and switched immediately and couldn't be happier.. -

These people are the scum of the earth but if you are busy and they catch you when you are not on guard you could be taken. They will tell you there is a problem with your merchant credit card account and it is being over billed. They call every few weeks with the same line and the number always comes up as a local call. I like to have fun with them and ask them questions and get them going until they hang up. You should try it sometime just for entertainment as they are very good actors on the phone.

Received a call from Main Street Processing concerning overbilling. I contacted my company and I was indeed being overbilling according to the Durbin Amendment....thank you for helping me get this straightened out. I thought this was a scam, but I actually got a refund. Thanks Alex

asked me to fax in out merchant credit card statement because we are getting over billed, called my company and they confirmed it was a scam. they should have a record of my statements if it is a valid company

They look over for third party processors like first data.. Go to compliantsboard.com and look up first data and then look up Main Street processing and tell me who is a scam.. Also rec'd a call from this "company", Main Street Co stating that we've been overcharged for three months. Comes in as a local number, although they provide 855 number. Scam.

Received a call from Main Street, Lauren Smith, 855-409-2667, extension 1406. When I asked what call was about, she said overbilling on our merchant account. I advised we did not have a merchant account and asked to be removed from her calling list but she hung up before I could complete my sentence. I called Lauren Smith back, told her she hung up on me before I could finish my sentence, and to remove us from her call list. She wasn't expecting to be called back. Gotcha Lauren. This number is a scam! Beware

I was contacted by Trey and was told that my processor was a third party processor and they needed to look for overbilling. I ended up with a new terminal and a great rate of 1.33% with .10 cents a transaction after paying above 3% and .25 cents a transaction for over 1 year 9 months.I was definately hesitant but they backed up everything they said with proper evidence. They have a low cost guarantee certificate showing you that you get the lowest cost up front no games.. I had a good experience and I am happy I didn't have to pay a dime.

Made to sound like a bill collector but just wanted to get me to change to their merchant services! I wouldn't sign up for something free if the sale pitch started out as a lie.
