Melissa Spence showed up on caller ID from a Kentucky number but gave number 866-861-5070, talking about an urgent matter regarding student loans. Gave the exact reference number that I saw someone else post. That solidified it for me that this was a scam.

I got a call from this number and "Melissa Spence" left a voicemail message that is exactly the same as other reviewers. Not sure a reference number is going to help if everyone she calls has the exact same reference number 27729.

Someone calling about "urgent payment options for my student debt." Sorry not sorry, but no. Full-time student at the moment and have nothing to pay yet. Called back and asked for company name, was told, "Well we are in collaboration with the Department of Education to handle a program on student relief. Are you interested?" Conpletely deflected my question and tried to give info on something conpletely different than my conmplaint. Got hung up on as I called them out. Why the hell has this number not been reported?

Also said it was 'time sensitive and extended until Friday'
I have already been talking to my loan servicer, so I smelled a scam. I called back and asked the name of the company and was hung up on. I figured it could be a mistake, and called again and asked, the same thing happened. Definitely a scam. -

Woman calls says she is has urgent matter due to student loans. Gives her name, agent ID and a reference number and says she will extend the matter till friday.
I got this message and honestly thought something had happened as I have recently started paying my loans back and have had payment issues before. I had first went into all my student loans account online to see if there was any messages or documents from them. When I saw none I decided to google the number. SO GLAD I DID. My message was exactly like everything other people had said. Same name. Same reference number. Same getting it extended to Friday. -
