They claimed to be appointment scheduling for the Department of Veterans Afairs. Without any conversation, they immediately wanted me to verify my birth date and my home address.
I've been out of service for 20+ years and I know the VA doesn't work that way; especially when I have no appointments pending.
They folded quickly and said goodbye, when I didn't cooperate.
