They never leave a message and I don't pick up or answer these type of calls. If they don't identify themselves they are problem scammers, or spoofing. I suggest not to pick up any such calls. Opt out and no call registry is a joke. We have to deal with these type of scams ourselves.

After figuring out how to block spam/scam phone calls on my home landline, I hadn't received a call in 2 weeks. It was great! Then this morning, I received a call from 877-236-7498. I answered the phone, the man with an India accent asked for my husband's cousin who lives in another state and my husband has no relationship with this cousin since they were children. I told the guy had the wrong number and he hung up. Looks like I will have to block this one too.

This company keeps trying to get me to pay them $157 for a debt that was paid to the credit card company directly. I have faxed them repeatedly my proof of it being paid and yet they continue to call my home demanding I pay at least 7 times a DAY! I am about to go crazy on these people AGAIN!

This number first contacted me stating it was an attempt to collect a debt. Apparently this company my debt from a credit card I had with Citi-bank years ago. I set up paying them $10 a month since I have many other bills and obligations and I wanted to get my credit line back on track. This week alone they have called over 20 times. I finally answered and let them know I was going to make my $10 payment today after giving him my card number he tried pressuring me to pay more first it was "can you afford more?" I said no then it was we will give you 30% discount how about now I said no then it was what if we split that into 2 months and you'll be done I said I'm not sure I'll have to get back to you. Then what sent me into a blind rage was he said what about a 60% discount and you pay 500 something today!!??? Are you deaf??? Between the phone calls being 45 minutes apart 5 times a day I work 3rd shift you call during my sleeping time, I tell you not to pressure me to pay off this debt and then the audacity you have raising your voice at me because it obviously made me upset and stressed me out...they will get there $10 a month no more no less I don't care if it takes 20 years you'll get paid little and slow just like your mind

Last call was on a debt already settled 2 years ago...Saying if I paid 50% now and in threepmts following months they would knock off 550.00 .This bill was settled.They by balance's left over from you card or medical settlements and harass you into a payment plan or threaten garnishment or court action. WARNING ! If you give them a single cent you are stuck because you basically acknowledge indebtness to them. BEWARE.BEWARE. One acct was from Fashion Bug covered by insurance if you lost employment or illness...Settled in 199423 plus years ago..See what I mean...and they are out sourced to people who are work at homes or collectives in another nation... -

I got more information by calling the number back, its Midland Fund. Debt Collector asking for an outrageous amount on a credit i still own. Epic.

Speaking with a thick foreign accent, the man asked for several privacy kind of info on behalf of Navy Federal Credit Union which had issued me a credit card but showed a spending in Sydney Australia when I have never been in that country. Rude, unprofessional folks to be blocked against further calls.

I owe a debt. I was laid off and then under medical not able to work. However they say what I owe is more than what I actually owe. I pay them 10.00 a month. I can barely do that but I believe in paying debt you create. I do not feel its right to keep calling and on weekends. I think the rude and disrespectful people who make unkind remarks are showing their own incompetent self to the world. Ignorance always comes from the ignorant.
Rose replied 2/9/15, 2:31 PMTell them that you no longer want any contact from them. If they call again, you can turn them in and get them heavily fined. Make sure you're sending your payments "return receipt requested." This way when they try to deny payments, and they will, you have even more proof. Keep a paper trail. As long as you are paying the debt off, even if it's only ten cents a month and can prove that they are accepting it, they can do nothing. If they continue to call after you ask them to stop, you may even be able to get out of your debt. They are also not allowed to call during certain times of the day/night. Keep track if their calls. Make sure you keep your telephone records as well. They have attorneys for this type of matter that won't charge you a dime.Brooke replied 3/20/15, 3:10 PMI am so sorry for your situatiton. Do some homework and look up on a non-profit site for some help on what they can and cannot do to you. These bottom-feeders work on collecting any sort of dubious debt possible for the big box stores - HD, Sam's Club, JC Penney through Citibank. Suggest you boycott these stores until they stop questionable credit policies. They are trying to collect a massive amount of money after the store in question issued a credit card, then expected payment before a bill was even delivered. I am not kidding when I say the bill was due less than 3 weeks after making the charges. Call multiple times a day. They keep selling dead debt that has been contested. Beware!

I am 18 and this number has called my phone a number of time, just today thy have called three times, I am getting very irritated because even if I wanted to I cannot answer the phone to yell at these people because of the charge it would leave on my phone, I know for a fact that my mom has put all of our cell phone numbers on a do not call list, of this is a collection call then I have no clue why they would be calling me because I have never had a credit card or have ever been in debt. They call every day and never leave a message, I have no idea how to make these calls stop, I am at my wits end with this number bothering me.

I do not answer calls outside my area code. They do not leave a message. Other people report talking to "collection ageancy, lottery distrbutors, etc. -

They keep calling. I'm sorry but I don't have money to pay this debt. I'm in the process of declaring bankruptcy after a hideous divorce and am saddled with a ton of debt from my ex husbands exorbitant spending sprees, mostly on himself. They can choke on it. They aren't getting a dime.

They call me all the time, even on Saturdays and Sundays. That is prohibited by law. In concordance with the laws of different states, the conversation can be recorded so I'm waiting for the new call and I have the list of the hours they have called me. You can not make an individual complaint, but collectively if a lawsuit. Those who have had the misfortune of losing our jobs and therefore unable to pay credit cards or other obligations are being harassed and there are laws that defend our positions. These companies try to collect debts that have been paid by insurance. So are charging 2 times the same debt. That is illegal. The Credit card companies are insured and the insurance pays. But they sell that debt collecting companies who harass us trying to collect that debt again. Sorry for my words but I have this very bad situation of harassment to which I am subject.

Installed a magic jack phone 1yr ago. Kept my old # and have magic blocker so these fux cannot get thru. Even if they use a local# (and they do) if I don't know the # I don't answer and promptly block it after their call. U AXXHOLES WILL NEEEEVVERRR GET ANY $$$ FROM ME so keep paying your 3rd world call center to waste your $$$ trying!! Ahhh peace and quite once again. :-)
