The call came from 877-404-6550, but they said to return the call to 888-800-9030. Neither of these phone numbers were listed anywhere on Bank of America's website or the back of my debit and credit cards with them. I've transcribed the voicemail below. The message is very vague, and the office hours are exceedingly odd. There's no way this actually came from Bank of America.
"Hello, this message is for *** ****. This is Amanda Davison calling from Bank of America. It is very important that we receive a call back as soon as possible in order to discuss a servicing matter as well as some different options we have that may benefit you. Please return my call to 888-800-9030. Our office is open until midnight Easter time tonight. Again, that number is 888-800-9030. Thank you and we look forward to speaking with you." -

I did not answer the call. After getting the message, I chose not to return their call - they did not have the right name. I find it hard to believe that a BoA department would not identify which department they were with and what they were calling about. Just seemed way to vague. And open till midnight? That seems to be a bit off.
They called my work number and left the following message:
Hello, this is Eric Weiner calling from Bank of America. This message is for *Name Removed*. I am calling in regards to an important servicing matter. Please give us a call at 888-800-9030. We are in the office until midnight Eastern Standard Time. Again, the number is 888-800-9030. We look forward to hearing from you and hope you have a great day.
Note that someone above said they called the number and verified it was BoA. Yeah, if you call the fraudsters at their number they will verify whatever they think you want to hear.
