LG reported Facebook Meta (Scam) with the number +16503341898 as Aggressive advertising
Marcus, who sounded half asleep called, stating he was with METAa wanting to discuss ways to create an awareness campaign to have our business "in people's faces"... He then asked me for the last 4 digits of our business ad account. I said I would not give that information as I don't know him. I then asked if he had a number I could call him back at. He ignored that question and asked me to verify an email he has for us, and said he would send an email. Sounded super shady.

Called me and caller ID said Meta so I answered. Started talking to me about an ads account I manage. They asked me to confirm the account number so I looked the number up and found this website. I immediately hung up, blocked the number, and they still somehow called me back three times. Do not answer!!

Sounded like a Meta team pro adviser
(My caller ID even said "Facebook Ads")
They knew my name, phone number, and Meta account name. Asked if I needed any support or help improving the ads account.
(this all sounded legit)
When they asked me to confirm my email, I started getting suspicious
(they should already have this info)
I asked what they had on file
That's when they started to back track
By this time, I knew it was a scam and I shut them down
The important take-away here:
Platforms like Meta and Google are targets for scams like this where malicious companies triangulate a phone number based on social media and other details, then attempt to capture more info (including ad account info, etc). It's important to never give any info over the phone and always beware anytime a cold call comes in from any 'service provider'. -

Got call from 650-334-1898, saying they were with Meta Facebook Ad’s and looking for the person who handled the business page. The woman asked if I had 40 mins to go over some info to better improve sponsored campaigns for my business. I said no sorry I don’t, she said well do you have about 10 mins to go over a few questions? I said yes, quickly..she proceeded to ask me for my account number in the ad manager which I said I didn’t have, and then asked for my name. I hung up the phone at that point realizing it was a scam.
