A collection company cycling through old paid/unpaid debts that seem legit* but as for the cold tactics used during phone calls are harrassing / against the law at times. refuse information if they are unclear. Do not agree to anything unless documentation can be sent to a po box.

Likely a phishing scam. This number called. A recording began, with the voice sounding very authoritative yet negative like a bully and with no shred of any politeness, saying to "Listen carefully. We have questions about this residence." and to call this number. Then the recording clicked off.
I feel sorry for any poor scared old lady who may get such a call. This caller sounds like a predator to me, hunting for easy prey. -
Asked for a person with the same last name but not the right first name. "This is the last attempt we are trying to contact you. Please call the number" This is a scam as we don't have any outstanding debt and these people has to be tracked down somehow.

I checked with California Secretary of State. They are legit and I was told by the person handling the in calls that all debtors who don't want to pay there debts scream "SCAM" it is the latest thing to do and don't pay you bills

very nice.... ive been getting missed calls from this number, no idea what they wanted... if it's a debt collector, it must be a scam as i dont have any loan and i dont need any. how did they get my number!
