The same exact thing happened to me!! With one small exception. The name they used was Emily Baker. I responded to her ad on Craigslist for a 2004 Jeep Liberty with only 46K for $1500. I also got the same fraudulent email supposedly from eBay. But of course I was prompted to pay by way of Green Dot cards!! SCUMBAGS!

I called 866 815 4862 it says eBay but it's really not and it sends you to voicemail. It's a straight up scam and everyone has been warnedCasey replied 3/11/17, 11:57 PMI also was not even two days ago offered the same deal from this women but from a different number (2256273366). It alerted me when she told me to purchase eBay giftcards in the amount of 500 dollars three of them to equal to the 1500 which if u gonna purchase something through eBay u would go through PayPal. Had me believe I was buying a jeep for 1500. The girl gave me her background and said she wanted to get rid of it because it was her ex husbands. They sent me an fake invoice from eBay and when I called the actual eBay they said they had no account with that id number.

Same thing happened to me.I responded to an OFFER UP ads about a very nice 2010 Prius that says provide my email so she, the seller Rachel Gomez will give all details about the car. I was asked to give my infos which I did. Then I received an email again saying it is forwarded to eBay. I received email from looks like eBay with this toll free number. I called and spoke to a guys with a strong India accent saying buy 3 gift cards at CVS totalling $1,500 and call him back. I called the eBay customer service and verify. It's a SCAM. Thank God I verified it first. Be careful guys.
