   Been calling me multiple times a day. Phone shows probably spam so I never picked up and sent them to voicemail. They never leave voicemails like legit businesses and just hang up....

   The number said "TD Bank", so I answered. A woman knew my first and last name, and then tried to advertise a new program that would insure "accidents" and such, which is really weird. I told her I wasn't interested, and although she was nice, she was (unsurprisingly) persistent to know the reason why. I just hung up in the end.

   Caller ID flashed TD bank momentarily, and when I answered there was 1 second of dialtone before the "person" answered. I instantly hung up.

   I had a similar encounter a few months ago with a man running a sophisticated scam. He claimed that someone, whose name I can't recall, had mistakenly transferred money to my account and that I would receive a follow-up call to reverse the transfer. While he didn’t ask for anything from me directly, I later received a robocall, which seemed to be the second phase of the scam intended to trick me into losing money.

   I don't remember agreeing to a policy that would result in receiving countless automated, harassing phone calls just because I chose to bank with TD.
