Automated Called to advise debt card unusual large charge, gave case number and last four digits of card number, If this was not me charging call this number with case number. Check with my bank no charges pending. Did not call their number and blocked caller. SCAM Call.

Just me reported Imposters scam with the number +18337351894 as Harassment calls
A prerecorded call asked if I had made any purchases on my bank debit card (knew my name and the name of my bank!) and that my card may have been frozen due to unusual activity. When I called the number they gave to check on this, a woman with foreign accent asked for the last 4 numbers of my SS, so I knew it was a scam.How they knew my bank name and my name is scary!

Received an unknown phone call ... a prerecorded female voice message stating that my credit card was recently used. If I used the card recently, do nothing. If I did not use the card recently, call 1-833-735-1894.

Most complaints were for phishing, but this number is actually the fraud number used for a credit union, Next Step. They will send an automated message, ask if you recognize a purchase, if not, you are then sent to a LIVE person who will review the purchase in question. They also ask if the card is used by any other person in the household and they ask if you know where the card is located. The caller gives you his/her name and after the problem is resolved, will encourage calling the local branch's number or the credit union's after hours number on the back of the card. At the end, they ask to remain on the line to take a quick survey, again, saying their name.
